In fact, according to this, when Republicans tried to regulate Fannie and Freddie, and Democrats saved them, Obama wasn't even involved.

So it wasn't Obama's fault, just his fellow Democrats'. He wasn't even interested enough.

No single group, nor person, is responsible for the way things are today.  Humanities greed, however, is.  This has happened the entire existance of mankind, on different levels, and will continue to happen as long as we exist.

Pointing fingers and bushing blame around never solved anything.

That is true, the first step towards bettering ourselves is admitting that mistakes were made, however, many would rather point fingers than accept fault. So long as political positions are cared for more than those they claim to represent, this cycle will continue to repeat itself no matter who's in the White House, Congress or the Senate.

Obama's involvement was as the "community organizer" that helped push through the total idiocy of the government forcing banks, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to offer loans to people they knew couldn't pay them off.

No matter what else can be said, the govenment "regulated" companies were the ones that fell first...  No lie from the left can cover for that.  However, it can't be all lumped on the Democrats since the Republicans had their filthy fingers in the corruption too.

The truth is, there isn't a single person in Congress, the White House or in leadership corrupt cesspools like ACORN that don't share the blame here.

Ok, so the blame is spread all over the place... The blame isn't where the answer lies, the Democrat party asked the people of the US to let their guys and gals handle these situtaions... So when are they going to take the US Constitution and come up with a legal and ethical plan?

Hopefully soon... and hopefully one that doesn't include us tightening our belts so our government thugs can live higher on the hog.

I say we vote them all out next time and tell the RNC and DNC to shut their criminal pie holes!

It's our responsibility to remove these people from power... however people are just too lazy, or uneducated to care.  It's not about getting the ones in office to care about us, it's about getting those that care about us into office.

Until people see that the two-party system is causing our country to crumble, nothing will be done.  However, knowing American's fear of true change, that isn't going to happen until everything is said and done, and we are no longer any better than a third world country.  (Yes, extreme, yet it is still possible.)

Who will replace them?  More of the same?

We can say this all we want, but when it comes time to vote... we vote either Democrat or Republican, over and over and over and over... you get my drift.

As Albert Einstein said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

The American people, as evidenced by our elections, are insane.

Piss on the RNC, the DNC and their bought and paid for human turds.  Both parties should be investigated under the RICO act.

This made me laugh.

Wow Para, you are not short on loathing for those groups are you?    <--- (I think that is laughing... hard to tell... could be an emoticon having a seizure....)

Ok, yeah, it was meant to make you laugh.. but also make you think.  What has either party done that they haven't said was wrong when the other party does it?

What has either party done that they haven't said was wrong when the other party does it?

Absolutely nothing.  Both sides are hypocritial, and I agree with you completely.

Republicans and Democrats are the same in everything except name, and a few "moral" laws here and there.

I saw bumper sticker that said 'Republicans and Democrats-Same shit, different pile." Or as Lewis Black said, the main difference is democrats suck, and republicans blow.

Well, it makes sense. Everyone of them has the same ultimate agenda, make as many people happy as possible so that they can keep their jobs while offending the least number of people possible.

In 2007 and 2008, the American economy found itself once again teetering on the edge of another economic slide. This time, the economy was brought to the brink by something called the subprime mortgage. The federal government has made several efforts to keep the markets from falling. But despite the government's efforts to prevent another stock market crash, in theory, a free market society isn't supposed to have any intervention in its economy.
