Palestine could become a zoo

I am really not sure whether a Palestinian state can work. These people seem not yet civilised enough to live under their own rule. But it is not for me to decide that.

On unrelated news, the Palestinian Authority has decided still not to disarm the terrorist militias, because it would mean civil war. Yes, indeed. If you have terrorist militias in your country and fight them, the result is civil war. But the idea of a state is not to avoid civil war by accepting other authorities, the idea is to only have ONE authority. If the PA cannot rule Palestine, then perhaps Hamas should.

If you want an SS in your state you better make it government-sanctioned. Otherwise you just seem unprofessional.

Yikes! Andrew, you seem so frustrated. But, I can honestly say I do not disagree with you. The thought of Hamas ruling the Palestinians is scary shit. Their agenda is to push Israel into the sea. They want a Palestinian state, so they are really going to have to show that they can function as a civilized society. So far, that's not happening. It's a huge international dilemma, for sure.

Frankly, for as much as I would support their plight as oppressed people, if in fact they are, and by whom, I fear them more.

I think that grants the PA a lot more than they deserve. I really don't think they are interested in disarming Hamas. The people vote members of Hamas into public office, and I doubt membership and support are so widespread that you couldn't possibly get enough people in one room to come to that conclusion.

Sadly, Hamas isn't even interested in Palestinian well-being, imho. The longer they keep them in refugee-status, the longer they remain powerful and able to be a "charity" that functions more like organized crime.

Hamas are certainly not interested in Palestinian well-being. They care about Palestinians about as much as the German SS cared about average Germans. Perhaps the PA is interested in Palestinian well-being. But even if the PA were merely interested in running a state they ought to do something against Hamas and groups like them.

Why can Hamas stand in elections???

And why are the Palestinians so stupid? Can they not see that terrorism and anti-Semitism have never gained them anything? Are there even enough Palestinians who support an independent Palestine which would coexist with Israel?

I am frustrated indeed. I cannot believe that a group like Hamas is accepted as a political party. Why do the UN not demand that the PA finally do something about the terrorist groups? Were they not supposed to as part of the deal? Why is the PA allowed to break treaties? And why do my tax euros pay for this? Certainly the terrorists can murder Jews for free and don't need European funding.

Hamas are part of a greater pan-Arabist movement. The LAST thing they want is an independent Palestine. Their and their ilk's goal has never been independent Arab states. Their goal is an Arab Islamic empire. An independent Palestine is not a part of their plan. An independent Palestine would merely stand in the way. The PA ought to see that and defend their sovereignty.

If the PA refuse to do something, Israel should. And if Israel is not allowed to, the world should be ashamed. You cannot help the Palestinians if you allow the fascists to take over.

I think that Palestine faces two problems:

1. The legitimate authority refuses to assert itself.

2. Its population are to a great extent savages.

Perhaps of the wall is ready, the whole lot can kill themselves. I only worry that they might try to take Jordan with them (again!).

Isn't that damned if you do and damned if you dont?

But that is the problem. For Palestine to exist, Hamas has to go. One way or another.

If Palestinians want to be ruled by other Arabs, they can go to some Arab country of their choice and be ruled.

If they want their own country, they should better work with those who give them the chance to do so.

It's their choice.

The PA should clean up in their realm and start ruling it.
