A Leauki's Writings

Jew: "Your child in exchange for the house. One for the other."

Palestinian man: "Are you authorized [to cut a deal]?"

Jew: "No, no. Absolutely not. You can call it an initiative by a do-gooder. No more."

Palestinian man: "A do-gooder?"

Palestinian woman: "Get out of the house! Get out!"

Jew: "A house can be compensated for, but a child... Think about it. Think about it carefully, and let me know what you've decided. You may find me in the nearby Talmud institute."

Palestinian woman: "A house can be compensated for, but a child... You sons of bitches!"

This is the sort of sitcom Palestinian state television shows.

Personally, I find the line "You find me in the nearby Talmud institute" a bit over the top. But ultimately the portrayal of Jews is not eviler than how western NASPAs describe them.

I can imagine three reactions:

1. This proves that the PA is not a "peace partner" and still hasn't given up its anti-Semitism and love for lies. (This is a typical right-wing reaction.)

2. This is unfortunate but ultimately caused by something Israel did. (This is a typical left-wing reaction.)

3. This is undeniable proof that Israel is destroyed Arab homes to build Jewish settlements and that Israel doesn't want peace. (Extremists from both wings always seem to agree about these things.)

These reactions are based on the three camps' principles:

1. Trust your friends, don't trust your enemies. (The principle of "trust, but verify".)

2. Trust your enemies, don't trust your friends. (The principle of solidarity.)

3. Accusation is proof. (The principle of 1984.)
