Progressives can relax now. Iran is not building nuclear power plants:

An Asian intelligence source last week confirmed to The Times that his country also believed that weapons work was being carried out as recently as 2007 — specifically, work on a neutron initiator.

The technical document describes the use of a neutron source, uranium deuteride, which independent experts confirm has no possible civilian or military use other than in a nuclear weapon. Uranium deuteride is the material used in Pakistan’s bomb, from where Iran obtained its blueprint.

“Although Iran might claim that this work is for civil purposes, there is no civil application,” said David Albright, a physicist and president of the Institute for Science and International Security in Washington, which has analysed hundreds of pages of documents related to the Iranian programme. “This is a very strong indicator of weapons work.”

Turns out oil-rich Iran is not planning to use nuclear power to create electriticy after all. Who would have thought.

I am sure the world will react shortly after Israel was hit and, like 64 years ago, say how sorry they are that six million Jews died and that everyone is sorry that nothing could be done to stop it, before condemning the few remaining Jews for using deadly force against surviving Hamas terrorists trying to finish the job because the "death to the Jews" armed Hamas terrorists are "innocent civilians" which the (remains of the) IDF "specifically target".

Was there ever any doubt? A country floating on a sea of oil feels the need for nuclear power? I think some will still deny it after they explode a device.
