A Leauki's Writings

Dear world,

According to Twitter the current toll, as admitted by the Iranian "government" is 57.

Number of killed according to Iran HR: 51 ppl until June21 + 6 executions July1 in Evin

Given that there is no evidence for any of the protesters to have initiated violence against anyone, I would call that "disproportionate violence".

I think we might need a full UN enquiry into what exactly happened in Iran over the last few weeks. International law apparently has a mechanism to do this, so there shouldn't be any legal issues. I expect a few UN schools to be built for the victims, in which perhaps they should be allowed to organise their protests against the regime.

Furthermore, I demand an international meeting of donor nations to discuss how much money we can expect to be available for rebuilding houses and property of protesters that were destroyed by the Basij militia and the revolutionary guard during the conflict so far.

Once the meeting is set up, they can also discuss the situation in Darfur and allot the money for the victims of Sudanese attacks. I assume 4 billion sounds like a fair amount required for rebuilding a war-savaged territory.

My hope is that President Obama will show as much compassion for Iranians and Darfurians as his supporters think he is known for.

Maybe if the protesters were Marxists rounded up in their pajamas, Obama would help.

What if the protesters were terrorists?

What if the protesters were terrorists?

That seems to not be an issue, as long as they are socialists.

Hamas are not socialists, yet the world and Obama are giving them four billion dollars.
