I hear that President Obama has decided to move more troops to fight the war in Afghanistan while abandoning the Iraqi government, who want American troops to stay, to its fate.
Let me first say that I absolutely support the President's decision to move more troops to Afghanistan. Al-Qaeda and the Taliban must be fought and I too think that President Bush has neglected to do so. I also don't trust most NATO troops and I'd rather see American troops do a good job than French and German troops stand in the way, worrying about the terrorists' well-being while watching civilian Afghanis being slaughtered by the Taliban.
But I do wonder and hence want to know from the source.
If somebody were to make up a study that says that one million people have died in the war in Afghanistan and blamed Obama's American troops for the deaths, would you, as a liberal, support a motion to try President Obama for war crimes?
Incidentally, an "innocent" Gitmo detainee released a while ago is celebrated as a "veteran guerilla" and a "formenter of war" (in the Arab world, that's a compliment, unless George Bush does it) in Yemen:

The article claims that this shows how hard it is to separate the truths from the lies. I think the article _shows_ that it is very easy indeed. If somebody IS found in a terror camp in Afghanistan and DOES shout "death to the infidels", he ISN'T innocent.
But please, do answer the question.
