It is surprising but it seems that Obama's quest to "improve" relations with America's allies after the eight-year Bush debacle continue to fail. Even Reuters acknowledges that Obama has problems even just getting along with allies:

U.S. President Barack Obama and Afghan President Hamid Karzai, allied in war but lacking in personal chemistry, face a critical test next week of whether they can just get along

Any Obama supporters here who can tell me with which allies Obama has improved relations?

However, Bush and Karzai always seemed like equals. Only with Obama did Karzai become the leader of the lesser country.

The same happened with the European allies.

Under Bush, the US, Spain, and Britain were equals. During late 2001 and the years of 2002 and 2003 it was usually Tony Blair and not George Bush who gave the ultimatums to the Taliban and Saddam.

Yes, Bush seemed like equals with his peers.  but Liberals cannot allow that to happen.  They assume the mantle of infallibility to treat their subjects with contempt, and soon start believing it. So much so they cannot change when they meet with those not subject to their idiocy.

Europeans and liberals speak of American arrogance.

With Obama we have seen this arrogance.
