A Leauki's Writings

Anybody who believes that the US invaded Iraq to "kill brown people" (or in general to kill people) is an idiot.

Anybody who believes that Obama's healthcare plan is about killing people is also an idiot.

Idiocy has nothing to do with left-wing or right-wing and both sides have their idiots.

For years we had the honour of observing left-wing idiots misunderstanding (and trying to propagate such misunderstanding) the concept of invading a country to end a dictatorship ("It's all about oil.") because they simply couldn't be bothered to learn the history Iraq (or about the price of oil).

Now we can observe right-wing idiots practice similar idiocy.

we are becoming more divided than ever.  What's the saying...a house divided will not be able to stand?

That's where we are heading.  The fighting within will destroy us sooner or later.

I've been saying it for ages: Americans have the most fucked up politics anywhere in the western world. The rhetoric is actually a little alarming at times. I've heard people conjecture about a red vs blue civil war once or twice, and you can forgive me for not finding that outside the realm of possibility when election time rolls around and the ideologues are out in full force. It's honestly a little frightening to see the us vs them mentality take over.

Fear not Starstriker1.  We're a noisy, messy democracy, but we've weathered worse times without civil war.  A lot of folks may prepared or preparing to defend themselves agains government goons should it ever become necessary, but there's no armed insurrection brewing.
